Chris and I started Never Before Heard Sounds in 2020 with the goal of making new music and sounds possible through machine learning and putting that power into musicians hands. We were early in anticipating how AI was drastically going to change the way we make music and it has been a privilege to re-imagine music production as browser-native and AI-first.

In 2024 we sold the company to Google DeepMind and joined the Magenta team to continue the mission of making machine learning expressive, creative and human centric.
